Arranca la temporada 2026 de los encuentros presenciales del Foro Extremadura es futuro con un invitado muy interesante: Ismael Villalobos. Ismael es un emprendedor español reconocido por su papel en el desarrollo de La Casa de las Carcasas, una de las empresas europeas de referencia en la venta de accesorios para teléfonos móviles, que actualmente cuenta con más de 650 tiendas y presencia en 6 países. Desde sus inicios, ha impulsado el crecimiento de la compañía hasta convertirla en una marca con presencia internacional y cientos de puntos de venta, destacando por su enfoque en la innovación comercial, la expansión global y el desarrollo de marca.

La charla-coloquio tendrá lugar el 19 de marzo, a las 11h en el Salón de actos del Centro Universitario de Mérida. La asistencia es libre hasta completar el aforo.

Los encuentros presenciales son parte del Foro para jóvenes Extremadura es futuro, que se enmarca en la Alianza Extremadura es futuro, impulsada por el Consejo Social UEx, junto con la Universidad de Extremadura y la Fundación Universidad-Sociedad. Este eje tiene como colaboradores principales a Fundación Mapfre y el Diario HOY. El Foro ofrece una serie de charlas de empresarios, investigadores y emprendedores extremeños para divulgar y acercar el mundo de la empresa, el emprendimiento y el liderazgo a los jóvenes en Extremadura.

Objetivos del curso:

El curso tiene como objetivo principal proporcionar a los empresarios de uno y otro lado de la frontera las herramientas y conocimientos necesarios para expandir sus negocios transfronterizos entre España y Portugal. Los participantes aprenderán a identificar y aprovechar oportunidades de crecimiento en el mercado transfronterizo, así como a superar los desafíos asociados con la digitalización. Además, el curso abordará estrategias clave para la gestión de operaciones transfronterizas, incluyendo aspectos legales, financieros y culturales. Al finalizar, los empresarios estarán mejor preparados para tomar decisiones informadas y desarrollar planes de acción efectivos que impulsen el crecimiento sostenible de sus empresas en el ámbito global.

XV Research Forum on Challenges in Management Accounting and Control Dr. V. Mateo Ripoll

The University of Extremadura (Spain) will host the "XV Research Forum on Challenges in Management Accounting and Control Dr. V. Mateo Ripoll" on June 12 and 13, 2025.

This Research Forum aims to promote interaction and paper discussion among national and international researchers in management accounting and control. Additionally, it seeks to serve as a meeting point where young researchers and PhD students can interact and present their work and projects. The event will feature sessions where researchers can present their papers and keynote sessions by renowned scholars.

VI International Forum on Management

“Family and technology: Resilience factors in SMEs in a pandemic”

Universidad de Extremadura, Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal, Universidade Aberta, Universidade do Algarve, Universidade de Évora and Escola Superior de Hotelaria e Turismo do Estoril are pleased to announce the VI International Forum on Management.

The International Forum on Management has been held annually in Portugal since 2017 with the aim to be a space for reflection and sharing of knowledge, perspectives and approaches, contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, development of good organizational practices and formulation of public policies. 

Therefore, as in previous editions, the VI International Forum on Management intends to gather in this event researchers and professionals whose work has sustained the development of research and practice in the different areas of Management and related areas. It is, hence, an excellent opportunity to share your work by submitting proposals for symposia, presentations and posters. Your participation will be decisive for the diversity and quality of the VI International Forum on Management.

To register for VI International Forum on Management, there are four options available:

• General registratation (180 €): grants the right to participate as a presenter and/or assistant, as well as to attend all events, including the gala dinner.

• On-line registratation (160 €): grants the right to participate as a presenter and/or assistant in all on-line sessions.

• Student registration (90 €): grants the same rights to participate ias general registration. This type of registration is available to those who, at the time of registratation, can prove that they are studying for a bachelor, master, or doctoral degree, or have completed any of these degrees within the previous twelve months. To prove student status, a copy of an official document or a letter from the thesis or master's director must be presented.

• Student on-line registratation (90 €): grants the same rights to participate as on-line registration, and requires to prove student status in the same conditions as student registration.

NEW! To encourage the online participation of researchers from outside Europe working in Universities or countries where it is not yet possible to travel to Europe, the VI International Forum on Management will apply a 2x1 promotion (two researchers from the same institution pay only the price of one online registration) to researchers from these Universities or non-European countries; therefore, each non-European researcher will pay 80 Euros as registration fee (45 Euros in the case of students).
